Agia Roumeli (Αγία Ρούμελη) is a small village in southwest Crete. It is the southern end of the Samaria Gorge. There is a small breakwater where the ferry that services Chora Sfakion docks.

There are no hazards anywhere in the approaches to Aghia Roumeli.
Berthing
It is not possible to use the short quay here, it is in daily use by ferries, the depths are questionable too.

Anchorages
There are no safe anchorages here. The bay is wide and open to the south. In July and August the meltemi winds blast down from the high mountains and out of the Samaria Gorge. This is a lunchtime stop only.
