More notes about the marina |
Once your boat is moored on the "waiting berth", the vessel's captain must proceed to the harbour office where the staff will request your documents that will be kept safely in the office until your departure. The documents required:
- Boat's documents (Registration and insurance),
- Passports of all crew members (EU, USA and other countries do not need visa but others do).
The staff at the harbour office will ask you to fill in a form with the details of the vessel and, in order to speed up the procedures, they will ask you for your passports and will fill in the official entry form for each crew/passenger. The original documents for your vessel will need to remain at the harbour office. A copy can be issued if required.
You will then be accompanied to the police office (in the same building) and you will need to provide the following: 1) A copy of the boat form, 2) The passports and the corresponding entry forms. The police will stamp your passports and return them.
Note: Not all the crew needs to be present either during the entry or the police procedures. Unless indicated otherwise, these procedures can be undertaken by the captain, whilst the rest of the crew remain on board or near the harbour office.
Once the entry formalities are complete, your vessel will be assigned a berth and the marina will send one of their staff to assist you.
You cannot leave the port area without the entry stamp in your passport. If you have forgotten your passport or it has expired, please follow the instructions of the police.
The police in Port Marina Smir are very helpful, honest and efficient. If you treat them with politeness and respect they will treat you the same. However should any problem arise, please report it immediately to Port Marina Smir staff at the harbour office.
