Climate & Weather
The climate is tropical and humid. The sea temperature rarely drops below 23°C! The summer is from December to March with an average temperature of 26°C on the coast. Winter is from April to November with an average temperature of 20°C on the coast. However, as one moves inland, and up, the temperature drops progressively. The cyclone season is usually between December and February.The prevailing winds blow from the east and south-east - the west coast being known as the leeward coast. The east coast has, generally, more rain than the west.

Firearms and ammunition MUST be declared on arrival.
PETS: The Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) is in operation here and animals must have a Pet Passport, microchip, current Health Certificate and Rabies Vaccination Certificate issued by a recognised Veterinarian and have been blood-tested prior to arrival.
Yachts are allowed to stay for up to six months (including multiple entry) during a 12 month period providing that none of the crew enter into any employment ashore or the vessel is chartered (NOTE: "Paying" crew is considered chartering).
