Puerto Puyuhuapi
Background
A convenient diversion when northbound the town of Puyuhuapi was settled by Germans in the period immediately before WW2. Close south of of Puyuhuapi is Bahia Dorita with several moorings owned by the 5 star 'Termas de Puyuhuapi' resort. While not cheap a day spent at the resort in the thermal springs is worth every peso after a month or two of working your way through the channels from the south.

Routes to/from
When northbound an approach up Canal Puyuhuapi and a departure via Canal Jacaf does not add a huge distance to a passage to Pto Montt and also provides shelter from the prevailing N'lys which can raise an uncomfortable sea in Canal Moreleda. .

Nil, this is not an Armada port.
Marinas & Yacht Clubs
There is a small private marina to the NW of the town wharf. There is only limited water alongside the town jetty and it is used by small commercial traffic. Temporary anchorage available close offshore. Several moorings have been laid in front of Termas de Puyuhuapi resort.
Anchorages
There are a number of secure anchorages in both Canales Jacaf and Puyuhuapi.
