It large commercial harbor is the departure point of many ferryboats connecting Greece with Italy.
Every year sometimes at the end of January or in February the famous Patras Carnival is being held.

Patras is a Greek port of entry/exit. Yachts entering Greece should contact the authorities in VHF channels 16 or 13.
Berthing Options
Yachts are encouraged to go to the marina.

They use the first pontoon also to refuel big fast motoryachts with they are not so secure with filling the fuel, with as a result, spill of diesel fuel in the water, that gives NOT a nice smell.
Friendly helpfull harbormaster. 230 Volt and water included at the pontoons.
Port Police will visit every yacht to show papers in the office.
