More notes about the marina |
The marina is part of a real estate complex and it is a hub of activity. They do not accept credit cards, only cash.
This is a port of entry and the authorities will meet your boat. If you are entering Tunisia you will be directed to first go side-to near the Customs. There will be many forms to fill-in but the officials are polite and reasonably friendly.
Marina radio contact
Try to contact the marina in VHF channels 11, 13, or 16. They may not respond but they will be waiting for you. Alternatively call them on +21673 462 305 or use email (they are quick to respond).
Danger: While the approach to Monastir is straightforward it is made dangerous my the numerous tuna nets which are not well marked. Under no circumstances approach at night and keep a sharp lookout.
Berthing
You will be shown where to go. There are laid moorings and usually they give 2 to each yacht.

- We left our boat here unattended for about a week. Had no problems. --Istioploos 17:13, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- Many French people have their boat here, some even stay here all year long. We came here to buy a new Genois for our boat. We felt very secure and never seen anything wrong. Most people are dressed in the occidental way. -- -- Stephane & Veronique Esploristo June 2016
