More notes about the marina |
The small harbour of Marina Sant’Andrea is situated up the river Corno on the N shore of the Laguna di Marano on the Adriatic coast of Italy. The marina, which is divided into two basins, is accessed via a channel dredged to a depth of 6.5 metres at low water and is thus suitable for deeper draft yachts. The marina provides 250 berths for yachts of up to 30 metres.
Communication
Try calling Marina Sant’Andrea on VHF channel 09 or 16. You may have better luck if you telephone or email in advance for berthing information and reservations.
The marina is accessed via the lagoon entrance of Porto Buso [[Marina Sant’Andrea#Porto Buso|Porto Buso]] 45°42.933'N, 013°14.923'E . Porto Buso lies four miles E of the W entrance to the lagoon, Porto Lignano, between the islands of Isola di Sant’Andrea and Isola di Porto Buso. The channel is protected by two long breakwaters nearly a mile long and is dredged to a depth of 7.5 metres. Access is, therefore, possible at all states of tide and in all conditions. As such, the Porto Buso entrance is the safest point of access to the lagoon in heavy weather.
Once through the entrance, continue N for two miles to arrive at the entrance to the Corno river. Go up the channel of the river Como to the marina. There are depths of 6.5 - 7.0 metres up the river Corno as far as Marina Sant’Andrea. The marina is half a mile upstream on the port side.
